Cold Weather
How winter weather
affects subway service

When temperatures drop, and ice and
snow fall on the tracks, stay on top of
all service changes by
:

• listening to your local traffic and transit broadcast
• visiting our website www.mta.info
• signing up for email or text message alerts on our website
• calling our travel information line at 718-330-1234.

Our goal is to keep as many trains in service as possible and
to keep you informed. Depending on the severity of weather,
here’s what you can expect:

G Line icon

Service between Court Sq and
71-Continental Avs will be
suspended

7 Line icon Reduced service 11 pm -1 am.
After 1 am normal late night
service resumes.
S Line icon

trains (shuttles)
• 42 St shuttle runs all night
• Dyre Av trains extend to
 149 St-Grand Concourse
• Rockaway Park shuttle
   extends to Euclid Av
