A five-borough marathon starting at the Verrazano Bridge on Staten Island, running through Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Manhattan to the finish line in Central Park. Buy your Pay-Per-Ride or Unlimited Ride MetroCard in advance to avoid long lines.

However, we will add cars on some morning inbound and afternoon outbound trains to accommodate the anticipated larger than normal Sunday ridership. Long Island Rail Road will operate a regular weekend schedule. There is a special weekend timetable in effect for several branches due to track work. Subways and buses will run regular weekday service.
There will be numerous diversions affecting bus routes operating along or crossing the marathon route.
