NYC Subways and Buses give you the run of the marathon.

Sunday, November 6, 2011, 11 AM to 7 PM
 

A five-borough marathon starting at the Verrazano Bridge on Staten Island, running through Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Manhattan to the finish line in Central Park.

Buy your Pay-Per-Ride or Unlimited Ride MetroCard in advance to avoid long lines.

Agency Service

Metro-North Railroad will operate on regular Sunday schedule. However, we will add cars on some morning inbound and afternoon outbound trains to accommodate the anticipated larger than normal Sunday ridership.

Long Island Rail Road will operate a regular weekend schedule. There is a special weekend timetable   in effect for several branches due to track work.

There will be numerous diversions affecting bus routes operating along or crossing the marathon route. Also, planned service changes may affect your trip this weekend.
