L Line Subway Symbol trains will run in sections. Shuttle buses will replace portions of train service at points along the line.

Look for the red and white service notices which will give you specific advance notice, dates, times and alternate travel routes.

For the most convenient way to be alerted to service changes, sign up for our subway Service Advisory E-mail Notification. Every Friday we will e-mail service changes to you regarding the L Line Subway Symbol and any other lines you specify.

These changes are necessary while we install and test an advanced communication, train-control system on the L Line Subway Symbol. The system can improve scheduling, reduce waiting times, and increase reliability.

Please know that this work on the L Line Subway Symbol will ultimately bring the entire line to a state of good repair that will enable us to provide you with service that is consistently good.
