Free shuttle buses replace trains between Stillwell Av and Kings Hwy

Two Weekends Dec 5 – 8 , 12 – 15,   9:30 PM Fri to 5 AM Mon

How will this affect my trip?
• Transfer between the shuttle bus and Q train at Kings Hwy.
• Shuttle buses make stops at Stillwell Av, West 8 St, Ocean Pkwy, Brighton Beach, Sheepshead Bay, Neck Rd, Avenue U, and Kings Hwy.

Why is service being changed?
We are doing station rehabilitation work on the the Coney Island-bound Avenue U and Neck Rd stations will be closed for station rehabilitation beginning 5 AM Monday, December 8 through September 2009.

Q trains run local on the R
R trains rerouted between Queens Plaza and DeKalb Av
Weekends, until Dec 1, 12:01 AM Sat to 5 AM Mon

How will this affect my trip?
N Customers:
• To travel between Queens and Manhattan, transfer between the N and the 7 at Queensboro Plaza or Times Sq.

There is no N R service at Lexington, 5 Avs, 57 and 49 Sts stations. Take the 4 5 6 or Q instead.

From Queens:
For Lexington and 5 Avs
Transfer to the 7 at Queensboro Plaza. Take the 7 to Grand Central and transfer to the uptown 4 5 or 6 to 59 St.

For 57 St
Transfer to the 7 at Queensboro Plaza. Take the 7 to Times Sq and transfer to
the uptown Q to 57 St.

For 49 St
Transfer to the 7 at Queensboro Plaza. Take the 7to Times Sq and transfer to
the uptown Q to 49 St.

From Brooklyn and Lower Manhattan:
For 5 Av and Lexington Av
Transfer to the uptown 4 5 or 6 at Union Sq and go to 59 St.

Q Customers:
• Q trains run local on the R between 57 St-7 Av and DeKalb Av.

R Customers:
• R trains run on the V betweeen Queens Plaza and Broadway-Lafayette St, then over the Manhattan Bridge to DeKalb Av.

• For City Hall, Rector, Whitehall, Court, and Lawrence Sts stations, take the Q instead.

• Transfer between the R and the N or Q at 34 St.

We are doing track work to ensure that trains continue to operate safely along the
N Q R lines.

Coney Island-bound trains run express from Prospect Park to Kings Hwy
Weekday, Dec 2 – 4, 10 AM to 3 PM Tue to Thu

How does this affect my trip?
~~ Trains stop at Church and Newkirk Avs.
~~ For service to Parkside Av, Beverley, Cortelyou Rds, Av
H, Av J, and Av M, take the B or Q to Church, Newkirk Avs, or Kings Hwy and transfer to a Manhattan-bound B or Q.
~~ For service from these stations, take a Manhattan-bound
B or Q to Newkirk, Church Avs, or Prospect Park and ransfer to a Coney Island-bound Q.

Why is service being changed?
We are making structural improvements to ensure that trains continue to operate safely along the Q line.
