Due to Hurricane Sandy knocking out the South Ferry station, a major rehab is under way. In order to bring service back, the old South Ferry station was put back into use. Mark Groce went to the station to see how things are going.

Toy trains have come a long way. They just don’t go around in a circle, but now have elaborate layouts with a real-life feel to them. The landscapes and buildings are handmade with much attention paid to details. Our reporter Joe Calisi checked out some of the scale models and tracks in Long Island.

The New York Transit Museum is known for its trains on display and historic artifacts. But for a few days last month part of the museum became a theater. Our reporter Edith Mock sat in on this great kid show.

 

 

Light Box, Barclays Center

Light Box, Barclays Center:
Arts for Transit has a new exhibition called "Greetings from Coney Island." There are eight photographs taken from the world famous Coney Island boardwalk before Hurricane Sandy struck. What makes these pictures unique is the light box frames used for the display. Our reporter Helle Andersen met the artist.

The celebration of Grand Central Terminal's 100th anniversary continues. To highlight the milestone, a table book of photographs from the terminal’s past to the present was assembled for all to enjoy. Rhea Titus met some of the photographers to learn about the inspiration behind the photos.
