FasTrack
New York City Transit has put many stations on the fast track for repairs and maintenance. With an army of Track Workers, Painters, and other maintenance workers, NYC Transit, for the first time shut down an entire subway line to make repairs. Our reporter Mark Groce went on the Lexington Av line as MOW was able to effect in days, repairs that would normally take weeks.

Bus Time
After a successful trial in Brooklyn the MTA is rolling out the Bus Time program borough wide in Staten Island. With NYC Transit’s Bus Time application you can get real time bus information via computer, on your Smartphone, or via a text on your cell phone. Our newest reporter Andrea Tedesche was in Staten Island for the launch.

Men of Transit Calendar
Some MTA Bus Drivers posed for a calendar to help raise money for the American Sickle Cell Anemia Association. “Men Taking Action United Transit Employees” is a group started by Jackie Gleason Bus Depot Co-workers and is dedicated to raising awareness on different topics. Kelsey Kane spent time with the Men of Transit.
