Bronx-bound Throgs Neck Bridge: Saturday, July 25th At 12:01 AM

Beginning Saturday, July 25th  at 12:01 AM, truck traffic ordinarily allowed on the northbound (to Bronx) Throgs Neck Bridge—including 6– and 7–axle trucks not exceeding 105,000 GVW with valid City or State Divisible Load Permits, and 5–axle trucks not exceeding 102,000 lbs.—will be permitted to use these lanes again with the following special instructions:

Trucks must enter the bridge from the left lane of the Clearview Expressway northbound and remain in the left lane until the bridge expands to three lanes. Trucks must then move to the center lane for travel as usual. Signs will be posted to guide drivers. 
Over–dimensional and overweight permits are not being issued at this time. 

The Cross Island Parkway on–ramp remains closed to traffic.

In the Queens–bound direction, all lanes are open to cars and trucks, with no new restrictions on trucks.
