One Tube At Queens Midtown Tunnel Closed Oct. 26-28
Two-Way Traffic Will Operate In Remaining Tube

One tube at the Queens Midtown Tunnel will be closed all weekend beginning at 1 a.m. Sat., Oct. 26 through 5 a.m. Mon., Oct.28 while necessary construction work is completed.

In addition, the Downtown Manhattan exit ramp will be closed beginning 7 p.m. Friday. Motorists are advised to expect delays and use an alternate route into Manhattan.

Two-way traffic operation will be in effect in the remaining tube for cars and NYCT buses. Commercial traffic must use an alternate route while two-way traffic operations are in effect

The work is being done by Restani/Excellent Paving, of Astoria, Queens, and will include joint repairs, paving and striping work and necessary inspections of the north tube.

Signs will be posted and traffic agents will be on hand to direct motorists.
