2013 U.S. Women’s Open Package Deal


MTA Long Island Rail Road and the USGA U.S. Women’s Open are teaming up to provide free round trip rail service to Southampton next week when the best women golfers in the world will battle for 2013 Open title at the beautiful Sebonack Golf Club in Southampton. Special LIRR Offer on Tournament Tickets Purchased by Sunday, June 23.

The LIRR will be providing an additional westbound train to the regular Southampton schedule on Thursday, June 24 and Friday, June 25 and three additional westbound trains on Saturday, June 29 and Sunday, June 30.

Travel the LIRR for Free

The LIRR- U.S Women's Open Package includes a free round trip train ticket when you use the code "LIRR" when purchasing a Championship Round ticket or a 4-Pack online by 11:59 PM Sunday, June 23. That’s a savings of up to $39.50 on travel from your station to Southampton Station. Among the leading golfers in the field of 156 professionals and amateurs will be Paula Creamer, Michele Wie, Cristie Kerr and Natalie Gulbis. All will tee-off on Monday, June 24 playing on Sebonack’s 300 scenic acres nestled on Peconic Bay – a course designed by Jack Nicklaus and Tom Doak.

Train service is being provided to the LIRR’s Southampton Station for U.S. Women’s Open beginning Monday, June 24 through Sunday, June 30. At Southampton Station, fans will board free shuttle buses for the short ride to Sebonack Golf Club. Golf fans are encouraged to purchase round-trip tickets before boarding trains, as tickets bought onboard cost more.

Special Service for the U.S. Women’s Open via Southampton Station

A westbound train departing Southampton at 5:12 PM will be added to the schedule on Thursday, June 27 and Friday, June 28. On Saturday, June 29, three westbound trains will be added departing Southampton at 3:18 PM, 4:43 PM and 7:20 PM in addition to regularly scheduled service at 4:13 PM and 6:18 PM. This service will be repeated on Sunday, June 30.

Eastbound train service will depart Penn Station, Jamaica, Babylon and Patchogue. Connecting service will be leave from Atlantic Terminal, Woodside, Forest Hills and Kew Gardens. See the complete schedule of trains to and from Southampton Station during the tournament on the next page.
