Mill Neck Manor & Coe Hall/Planting Fields, June 23

Mill Neck Manor, located on the prestigious North Shore of Long Island, is a majestic Tudor Revival mansion. It is set on an 86-acre scenic estate overlooking the Long Island Sound in Mill Neck. The mansion, once called Sefton Manor, was owned by Robert Leftwich Dodge and his wife, the cosmetics heiress Lillian Sefton Dodge. Discover this stately historic gem and contemporary treasure and enjoy homemade scones and specially blended tea during your visit.

Coe  Hall at Planting Fields was owned by William Robertson Coe who made his fortune in marine insurance. His wife, Mai, was daughter of Henry Huttleston Rogers, a partner in Standard Oil and builder of the Virginian Railway. The 65 room limestone Coe Hall mansion built 1918-1921 by Walker and Gilette is in the style of a 16th century Elizabethan country house, set in a beautifully landscaped park designed by the Olmsted Brothers. Menu for lunch includes a catered selection of gourmet sandwiches, salad, cookies, and choice of beverage.

Sunday, July 21 - Oheka Castle & Eagles’s Nest at the Vanderbilt Museum

Oheka Castle- Tour the breathtakingly beautiful mansion and gardens of Oheka and walk in the footsteps of former resident and bank financier, Otto H. Kahn. This palatial historic estate was designed to accommodate Otto’s affection for hosting lavish parties with such famous guests as Charlie Chaplin, Enrico Caruso and many other celebrities, dignitaries, and socialites, of the 1920’s. Enjoy a light lunch of artisanal wraps, terra chips and a beverage while surrounded in European-style grandeur.

Eages Nest at Vanderbilt Museum & Planetarium – The Eagles Nest mansion is unusual for estate architecture on Long Island because of its Spanish design, a style seldom seen in the region. The palatial, Spanish Revivial structure was the home of railroad heir and motor car enthusiast William K. Vanderbilt II, but began in 1910 as a modest bachelor’s retreat. Two building campaigns followed the original construction of the house, transforming it into the extensive mansion complex that offers visitors a glimpse at the life of a Vanderbilt through the estate that memorializes his legacy. The Vanderbilt Museum is a unique combination of Gold Coast estate and mansion, natural history museum and world-class 60-foot domed planetarium on 43-acres of parkland.

Saturday, August 3 - Old Westbury Gardens & NYIT De Seversky Mansion

Old Westbury Gardens - In addition to a magnificent 1906 mansion filled with priceless art and furnishings, Old Westbury Gardens includes 200 acres of wooded paths, awe-inspiring vistas, and some of the most beautiful gardens in the world. The only difficult part of this mansion tour is finding the time to tour the mansion.

NYIT De Seversky Mansion - Discover the timeless legacy of the NYIT de Seversky Mansion. Tour the opulent galleries, explore the lush grounds and end the day with delightful sandwiches and refreshments on the mansions beautiful Garden Patio.
