Train service east of Babylon on the MTA Long Island Rail Road's Montauk Branch will be affected by switch replacement work for this weekend, Friday night, May 4 through early Monday, May 7.

From 11 PM Friday, May 4 through 2:30 AM, Monday, May 7, one of two main tracks between Babylon and Sayville will be out of service. Six eastbound and six westbound trains will be replaced by buses and others will have their schedules adjusted.
Eastbound: On Saturday and Sunday, customers on the 12:32 AM, the
8:28 AM, 12:28 PM, 5:26 PM, 6:28 PM and 9:26 PM trains from Babylon to Patchogue will board buses at Babylon to complete their trips. Customers should anticipate up to 12 minutes additional travel time. The 8:16 AM, 12:16 PM and 9:16 PM trains from Jamaica will leave 12 minutes later.
Westbound: Customers on the 11:23 PM train from Patchogue on Friday night, and on Saturday and Sunday, the 10:02 AM train from Speonk, the 2:01 PM train from Speonk, the 7:38 PM train from Patchogue, the 8:29 PM train from Patchogue and the 11:57 PM train from Speonk will board buses at their stations Speonk through Bay Shore then transfer to trains at Babylon to complete their trips. Also on Saturday and Sunday, the
7:34 PM train from Montauk and the 9:38 PM train from Patchogue will be combined with the 7:34 PM train making additional stops from Patchogue west. Customers should anticipate increased travel time of up to 56 minutes. The 10:38 PM train from Montauk will have five minutes additional running time. The 7:01 AM train from Speonk, the 6:53 AM train from Montauk, the 12:02 PM train from Speonk and the 3:38 PM train from Patchogue will depart ten minutes earlier. The 5:33 PM train from Patchogue will depart eleven minutes later and the 10:33 PM train from Patchogue will depart four minutes later. Twelve westbound trains will have additional running times of up to ten minutes between Patchogue and Babylon.
