The Metropolitan Transportation Authority Board today welcomed recently appointed member Ed Watt to his first Board meeting. Mr. Watt joins the MTA Board as a nonvoting member recommended by the Transport Workers Union.
Mr. Watt is currently the Secretary-Treasurer of Transport Workers Union Local 100. Prior to his election as Secretary-Treasurer Mr. Watt spent 20 years operating buses for New York City Transit out of the Ulmer Park and Flatbush depots in Brooklyn.
Mr. Watt resides in Queens, NY with his wife and four children. He is a graduate of St. Francis College and has a graduate degree in Industrial Labor Relations from Baruch Cornell.
