The Metropolitan Transportation Authority has named Patrick J. McCoy as MTA Director of Finance. Mr. McCoy, age 39, has served as MTA Deputy Director of Finance since 2002 under Kim Paparello who left the MTA last month.
"Pat McCoy has a proven record of managing MTA public financing and I am confident he will help maintain our strong bond ratings and continued access to markets for Capital Program funding," said MTA Executive Director Katherine N. Lapp.
Mr. McCoy has a graduate degree in Urban Policy from the New School University in New York City. During his career he has served in the New York City Office of Management and Budget, the New York City Transitional Finance Authority, the New York City Municipal Water Finance Authority as well as positions in the private sector. He is married to Katherine Mendez and they reside in Tarrytown, New York with their two children.
