The Metropolitan Transportation Authority will hold a public hearing on plans to decrease MTA Metro-North and MTA Long Island Rail Road fares up to an average of 9.1% for customers who buy the joint monthly commutation pass and MetroCard through the mail. To solicit customer comments on this proposal, a public hearing has been scheduled for Thursday, September 4 at 5 p.m. at MTA Headquarters, 347 Madison Avenue, 5th Floor Board Room.

Anyone interested in speaking at the hearing or obtaining more information may call Douglas Sussman, Deputy Director, MTA Government and Community Relations, at (212) 878-7483, or they may register to speak on the day of the hearing until 7 p.m.
