MTA New York City Transit will hold two open meetings regarding an engineering study of subway access to La Guardia Airport. The purpose of the meeting is to update customers and the general public on the progress of the study's evaluation of route alternatives, to discuss plans for preparation of an Environmental Impact Statement, and to hear public comments.
This engineering study is being carried out as part of a cooperative partnership formed by the MTA, the State of New York, the City of New York, the Queens Borough President's Office, and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
The meetings have been scheduled for Wednesday, November 18 at 6 p.m. at the American Museum of the Moving Image Auditorium, 35th Avenue at 36th Street, Astoria, Queens, and Thursday, November 19 at 6 p.m. at MTA Headquarters, 347 Madison Avenue, Manhattan. Both locations are accessible to people who are mobility impaired. Sign language services will be available on request.
