Brooklyn-bound Cortelyou Rd Q Line Platform Re-opens
MTA NYC Transit announces the reopening of the newly refurbished southbound platform of the Cortelyou Road Q Subway subway station on the Brighton Line in Brooklyn.  Following a four-month closure, effective 5:00 a.m. Friday, June 13, the southbound platform will reopen to customers – a full week earlier than scheduled.
The Cortelyou Road southbound station platform was closed in February 2014, as part of a $3.2M component repair project, which also included repairs at the Beverly Road and Parkside Avenue Q Subway Line stations.  Improvements at all three stations include structural steel roof repairs, repairs to staircases, concrete repairs and painting.  In addition, workers replaced the steel stairs at Beverley Road, repaired concrete columns at Parkside Avenue and steel columns at both Cortelyou Road and Beverley Road.
The newly refurbished south-bound platform at Beverly Road previously reopened to customers on Wednesday, June 4. We are still on schedule to reopen the Parkside Av Q Subway station in the coming weeks. We appreciate the community’s patience as we complete this important station renewal project.
