FASTRACK Returning to the Grand Concourse
No D Service Between 205th Street and 161st Street-Yankee Stadium

MTA New York City Transit brings FASTRACK back to the Bronx along the Concourse D Subway Line.   D Subway train service will be suspended in both directions between 205th Street and 161st Street-Yankee Stadium from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m., for four consecutive weeknights from Monday, November 4 to early Friday morning, November 8.  B Subway service ends early each night.  Coney Island-bound D Subway trains skip 155th Street.  Customers should take the 4 Subway instead.

There will be no D Subway service in either direction at 205th Street, Bedford Park Blvd, Kingsbridge Road, Fordham Road, 182nd-183rd Sts, Tremont Avenue, 174th-175th Sts, 170th Street and 167th Street.

Travel alternatives:

  • Take 4 Subway service to and from nearby stations.
  • Transfer between D Subway and 4 Subway trains at 161st Street-Yankee Stadium.
  • Free shuttle buses provide connecting service between the 205th Street D Subway and the Mosholu Parkway 4 Subway stations only.
  • For southbound service to 155th Street, customers should take the Coney Island-bound D Subway to 145th Street, transfer to the Bronx-bound D Subway and ride one stop back to 155th Street.
  • For southbound service from 155th Street, customers should take the Bronx-bound D Subway to 161st Street-Yankee Stadium and transfer to the Coney Island-bound D Subway

During our previous FASTRACK on the Grand Concourse in July, maintenance workers completed many tasks in the areas of track, third rail operations, signals, infrastructure, electronics maintenance, station environment and elevator/escalator maintenance.  They cleared 490 third rail defects, scraped and cleaned 11,000 feet of track under and around the third rail, cleaned 1,150 feet of track drain, repaired 35 feet of damaged concrete and sealed 70 leaks.  At the stations, workers were able to paint 4,950 square feet of station surface area, repair 180 linear feet of rubbing board and replace 65 station platform signs.  This represents only a portion of what Transit workers were able to accomplish under the FASTRACK program.

These FASTRACK efforts have been designed around the careful determination that there is adequate alternate means of transportation, including enhanced services along some bus lines during work periods.  Alternative transportation options will be detailed in announcements and posters on trains, in stations and on selected buses; brochures will be available in both English and Spanish.  Information on this FASTRACK is available by clicking here

There will be three more FASTRACK closures in 2013.  The next will be in Upper Manhattan, November 18-22, on the A Subway Line between Inwood-207th Street and 168th Street.  There will be a weekend FASTRACK on the D Subway and N Subway lines on November 23 and 24 between Stillwell Avenue and Bay Parkway D Subway and the 86th Street N Subway stations.  The final weeknight 2013 FASTRACK will be on the F Subway line between West 4th Street and Jay Street Metro-Tech from December 2 to 6.
