Normal service on the Queens Blvd Line is scheduled to resume at 5 a.m. Monday morning. MTA New York City Transit crews have been hard at work all weekend to re-rail and remove a southbound train that derailed on Friday morning near 65 St. Repairs to the rails and other infrastructure on the southbound express tracks where the train derailed should be completed during the overnight hours. Power will then be restored and test trains will be dispatched in order to insure the safety and reliability of the right of way prior to resuming full service.
Until full service is restored, trains will continue to operate local and trains will run between Bay Ridge-95 St and 57 St-7 Av in Manhattan.
MTA Long Island Rail Road will continue to cross-honor valid MetroCards between Penn Station and Jamaica Station until full service is restored.
