Q2 Adds Two Stops at Belmont Park Racetrack

In order to provide customers with better access to the Belmont Park Racetrack, MTA New York City Transit announces that the Q2 bus route will add two stops at the track near the LIRR overpass. This area is closed to all vehicles except the Q2 and Q110 buses. (The Q110 will use the same stops.) This service will be in effect from Wednesday, May 2 until Sunday, July 22, only when the racetrack is open.

The Q2 operates between the 165th Street bus terminal in Jamaica and Hempstead Avenue at 225th Street daily. With the extension to Belmont Park, customers will be dropped off eastbound in Lane #1 and may board westbound buses in Lane #2 (see attached) near the LIRR overpass to the Track. The Q2 will run every 7-12 minutes on weekdays, every 11-12 minutes on Saturdays and every 12-20 minutes on Sundays.

MTA Bus Q110 will run every 8-10 minutes on weekdays, every 11 minutes on Saturdays and every 15 minutes on Sundays during this Spring racing season.

After the horses return from Saratoga in September, the Q2 and Q110 buses will provide the same service for the fall meeting. So, racing fans get ahead of the pack and purchase MetroCards in advance, either at a station booth or from a MetroCard Vending Machine which accepts both cash and credit/debit cards!
