Service Advisory Weekend Subway Changes Affecting Service on the 1234567ACDEFGLRW

Because of capital construction work on the NYC Transit subway system, the following changes will be in place over the weekend. This work is part of NYC Transit's ongoing $10 billion Capital Rebuilding Program aimed at upgrading and maintaining our tracks, stations and signal systems in order to continue to provide our customers with safe and reliable service.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, March 24 to 5 a.m. Monday, March 26, there are no 1 trains between 14th Street and South Ferry due to station rehab work at Chambers Street, construction of the new South Ferry station and Port Authority work at the WTC site. Customers should take the 2 or 3 or the shuttle bus.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, March 24 to 5 a.m. Monday, March 26, 23 trains run local between 96th Street and Chambers Street due to station rehab work at Chambers Street, construction of the new South Ferry station and Port Authority work at the WTC site.

At all times until July 16, Kingsbridge Road and 183rd Street stations are closed for rehabilitation. Free shuttle bus service is available to adjacent stations.

From 6 a.m. Saturday, March 24 to 5 a.m. Monday, March 26, Bronx-bound 4 trains skip Fordham Road, Bedford Park Blvd. and Mosholu Parkway due to station rehab work at 183rd Street, Kingsbridge Road and Mosholu Parkway.

From 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, March 24 and Sunday, March 25, Bronx-bound 4 trains run express from 125th Street to Woodlawn due to signal work at 149th Street.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, March 24 to 5 a.m. Monday, March 26 (and following weekends through May 14), uptown 45 trains skip Fulton Street due to Fulton Transit Center construction.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, March 24 to 5 a.m. Monday, March 26, there are no 5 trains between Bowling Green and Brooklyn Bridge due to South Ferry station construction.

From 4 a.m. Saturday, March 24 to 10 p.m. Sunday, March 25 (and weekends through April 8), Manhattan-bound 6 trains run express from Parkchester to Hunts Point Avenue due to track panel installation south of Parkchester station.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, March 24 to 5 a.m. Monday, March 26 (and weekends through April 2), there is no 7 train service between Woodside-61st Street and Times Square due to switch replacement and signal work between 33rd Street Rawson Street and Queensboro Plaza stations. Free shuttle buses are available. Customers should take the EF or R at 74th Street-Roosevelt Avenue for service to Manhattan.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, March 24 to 5 a.m. Monday, March 26, uptown AC trains skip Spring, 23rd and 50th Streets due to station rehabilitation at 59th Street-Columbus Circle.

From 5 a.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday, March 24 and Sunday, March 25, downtown C trains run express from 145th Street to Canal Street due to fan plant rehab at 47th -50th Sts.

D
From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, March 24 to 5 a.m. Monday, March 26, downtown D trains run on the A line from 59th Street to West 4th Street due to fan plant rehab at 47th -50th Sts.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, March 24 to 5 a.m. Monday, March 26, D trains run in two sections due to fan plant rehab at 47th -50th Sts:
Between 205th Street and Broadway-Lafayette Sts and
Between Broadway-Lafayette Sts and Stillwell Avenue

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, March 24 to 5 a.m. Monday, March 26 (and the following weekend March 31-Apr 2), Manhattan-bound E trains skip Van Wyck Blvd. and Manhattan-bound F trains skip Sutphin and Van Wyck Blvds. due to ADA station work at Union Turnpike.

G
From 8:30 p.m. Friday, March 23 to 5 a.m. Monday, March 26 (and weekends through May 28), there is no G train service between Forest Hills-71st Avenue and Court Square due to conduit and cable installation between Greenpoint Avenue and 21st Street-Van Alst.


L
From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, March 24 and Sunday, March 25, L trains run in two sections due to station rehab work at Sutter Avenue:
" Between 8th Avenue and Broadway Junction and
" Between Broadway Junction and Rockaway Parkway (every 24 minutes)

RW
The Cortlandt Street Station is closed until further notice while the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey continue to build on the WTC site.

Customers who rely on these lines should allow for additional travel time.
