Service Advisory Weekend Subway Changes Affecting Service On The 1234567ACDFMRW

Because of capital construction work on the NYC Transit subway system, the following changes will be in place over the weekend. This work is part of NYC Transit's ongoing $10 billion Capital Rebuilding Program aimed at upgrading and maintaining our tracks, stations and signal systems in order to continue to provide our customers with safe and reliable service.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, November 3 to 5 a.m. Monday, November 5, there is no 1 train service between 14th Street and South Ferry due to Port Authority work at Cortlandt Street for WTC site. Customers may take the 2 or 3 between 14th Street and Chambers Street. Free shuttle buses will run between Chambers Street and South Ferry.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, November 3 to 5 a.m. Monday, November 5, 1 trains skip 28th, 23rd and 18th Streets in both directions due to Port Authority work and switch replacement at 14th Street.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, November 3 to 5 a.m. Monday, November 5, downtown 1 trains skip 66th, 59th and 50th Street due to station rehab work at 59th Street.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, November 3 to 5 a.m. Monday, November 5, uptown 23 trains run express from Chambers Street to 34th Street, then local from Times Square to 96th Street. Downtown 23 trains run on the local track from 96th Street to 72nd Street and from Time Square to Chambers Street. This is due to switch work at 14th Street and Prot Authority work at WTC site.

At all times until Monday, November 12, Manhattan-bound 4 trains skip Mosholu Parkway due to station rehabilitation.

From 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, November 3, there is no 5 train service between 149th Street and East 180th Street due to tie replacement work north of East 180th Street. Customers may take the 2 instead.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, November 3 to 5 a.m. Monday, November 5, Bronx-bound 6 trains run express from 3rd Avenue to Hunts Point Avenue due to track panel installation at Whitlock Avenue.

From 4 a.m. Saturday, November 3 to 10 p.m. Sunday, November 4, free shuttle buses replace trains between Main and 111th Streets due to switch replacement work at Willets Point.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, November 3 to 5 a.m. Monday, November 5, Manhattan-bound A trains run on the F from Jay to West 4th Streets due to signal work at Chambers Street. Customers may take the E for Chambers, Canal and Spring Sts. From High Street and Broadway-Nassau take the Brooklyn-bound A to Jay Street and transfer to a Manhattan-bound A.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, November 3 to 5 a.m. Monday, November 5, there is no C train service due to signal work at chambers Street and station rehab work at 59th Street. Queens-bound A trains run local from 168th Street to Euclid Avenue. Manhattan-bound A trains run local from Euclid Avenue to Jay Street and from West 4th to 168th Street.

D
From 11 p.m., Friday, November 2 to 5 a.m. Monday, November 5 (and weekends through December 31), Bronx-bound D trains run express from 145th Street to Fordham Road due to track/roadbed replacement at 161st Street.

From 10 p.m., Friday, November 2 to 5 a.m. Monday, November 5, Coney Island-bound D trains run express from 9th Avenue in Sunset Park, Brooklyn to Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue due to maintenance work between 9th Avenue and Bay 50th.

From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, November 3 and Sunday, November 4, Manhattan-bound F trains skip Avenue U.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, November 3 to 5 a.m. Monday, November 5, Coney Island-bound F trains skip 4th Avenue, 15th Street-Prospect Park, and Fort Hamilton Parkway due to substation rehab work at Caton Avenue.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, November 3 to 5 a.m. Monday, November 5, F trains run in two sections:

  • Between Stillwell Avenue and Avenue X and
  • Between Avenue X and 179th Street

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, November 3 to 5 a.m. Monday, November 5, Manhattan-bound F trains run on the V line from Roosevelt Avenue to 47th-50th Streets.

From 11:30 p.m. Friday, November 2 to 5 a.m. Monday, November 5, free shuttle buses replace M trains between Metropolitan Avenue and Myrtle Avenue-Broadway.

The Cortlandt Street Station is closed until further notice while the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey continues to build on the WTC site.
