Service Advisory Weekend Subway Changes Affecting Service on the 123456ACEFGRW

Because of capital construction work on the NYC Transit subway system, the following changes will be in place over the weekend. This work is part of NYC Transit's ongoing $10 billion Capital Rebuilding Program aimed at upgrading and maintaining our tracks, stations and signal systems in order to continue to provide our customers with safe and reliable service.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, April 7 to 5 a.m. Monday, April 9, there are no 1 trains between 14th Street and South Ferry due to work at Cortlandt Street.

Customers should take the 23 trains or the free shuttle bus.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, April 7 to 5 a.m. Monday, April 9, 23 trains run local between 96th Street and Chambers Street due to work at Cortlandt Street.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, April 7 to 5 a.m. Monday, April 9, 4 trains run local between 125th Street and Brooklyn Bridge due to Fulton Street Transit Center construction.

At all times until July 16, Kingsbridge Road and 183rd Street stations are closed for rehabilitation. Free shuttle bus service is available to adjacent stations.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, April 7 to 5 a.m. Monday, April 9, there are no 4 trains between Atlantic Avenue and Brooklyn Bridge due to the Fulton Street Transit Center construction. Customers may take the J instead.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, April 7 to 5 a.m. Monday, April 9, there are no 5 trains between Bowling Green and Grand Central due to the Fulton Street Transit Center construction.

From 4 a.m. Saturday, April 7 to 10 p.m. Sunday, April 8, Manhattan-bound 6 trains run express from Parkchester to Hunts Point Avenue due to track panel installation south of Parkchester station.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, April 7 to 5 a.m. Monday, April 9 (and weekends through May 5-7), A trains run local between 168th Street and Canal Streets. There is no C train service. Manhattan-bound A trains run on the F line from Jay Street to West 4th Street due to track tunnel lighting north of Jay Street.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, April 7 to midnight Sunday, April 8, E trains run in two sections due to asbestos abatement between Parsons-Archer and Jamaica-Van Wyck stations:

Between Jamaica Center and Union Turnpike and

Between Union Turnpike and World Trade Center

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, April 7 to 5 a.m. Monday, April 9, Manhattan-bound F trains skip Smith/9th Sts., Carroll Street and Bergen Street due to rail renewal between 4th Avenue-9th Street and Bergen Street stations:

From 8:30 p.m. Friday, April 6 to 5 a.m. Monday, April 9 (and weekends through May 28), there is no G train service between Forest Hills-71st Avenue and Court Square due to asbestos abatement between Parson-Archer and Jamaica -Van Wyck stations.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, April 7 to 5 a.m. Monday, April 9, there are no G trains between Hoyt-Schermerhorn and Smith-9th Sts. due to rail renewal between 4th Avenue-9th Street and Bergen Street stations. Customers should transfer between the A and F at Jay Street.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, April 7 to 5 a.m. Monday, April 9, G trains run in two sections due to rail renewal between 4th Avenue-9th Street and Bergen Street stations.

The Cortlandt Street Station is closed until further notice while the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey continue to build on the WTC site.

Customers who rely on these lines should allow for additional travel time.
