Danbury Line Customers

On Thursday, Aug. 6, due to the impact of Tropical Storm Isaias sustained by our infrastructure, Metro-North will operate weekend service on the New Haven Line for trains between Stamford & GCT. Service between Stamford and New Haven continues to be suspended until further notice.

-- On the Danbury branch bus service will be suspended until further notice.

Crews are working night and day to repair signals, power, third rail, and overhead wires to bring back full service. Please listen for announcements at your station and continue to monitor new.mta.info, www.mta.info/mnr and Facebook and Twitter for updates. Customers can also use our automated phone system at 511 (in Connecticut call 877-690-5114) or to speak with a representative dial 646-252-1701.

On Friday, Aug. 7, Metro-North will restore service between Stamford and New Haven and weekend service will be provided between New Haven and Grand Central Terminal. Delays and cancelations are possible, please allow for extra travel time.

--On the New Canaan branch, bus service will run on a weekend schedule. Customers may experience delays due to road closures/detours.
--On the Waterbury branch, busing is being provided on a weekend schedule. Customers may experience delays due to road closures/detours.
-- On the Danbury branch bus service will be provided on a weekend schedule. Customers may experience delays due to road closures/detours.

Due to track repairs, customers will use bridge plates at some stations to board trains. Please for your safety, do not stand on the bridge plates before the train arrives, and wait for the train to make a complete stop before boarding bridge plates.
