MTA Metro-North Railroad advises customers that crews will be in out in force this weekend replacing ties on the Moodna Viaduct, east of the Salisbury Mills station. The Moodna Viaduct has 2,300 individual bridge timbers, and this weekend’s work marks the beginning of this significant tie replacement project.
To accommodate this infrastructure improvement, buses will substitute for trains between Port Jervis and Harriman from 11:30 p.m. on Friday, August 17, and continuing until 7 p.m. on Sunday, August 19.
