For the next four weeks, Metro-North will be replacing wooden ties on the Waterbury branch of the New Haven Line. In order to install 8,000 new wooden rail ties on this single track line, substitute, off-peak bus service will be provided.
Beginning Monday, May 14, four off-peak trains will be bused, the 12:20 p.m. and 3:13 p.m. trains from Waterbury to Bridgeport, and the 10:32 a.m. and 1:32 p.m. trains from Bridgeport to Waterbury. About 140 customers will be affected each weekday.
