Service Advisory Weekend Subway Changes Affecting Service On The 16ACEFGNR

Because of capital construction work on the NYC Transit subway system, the following changes will be in place over the weekend. This work is part of NYC Transit's ongoing $10 billion Capital Rebuilding Program aimed at upgrading and maintaining our tracks, stations and signal systems in order to continue to provide our customers with safe and reliable service.

MTA NYC Transit Can Take You There

The New York Liberty of the WNBA will be playing the first ever outdoor professional basketball game at Arthur Ashe Stadium-USTA National Tennis Center on Saturday, July 19 at 7:30 p.m. The event will be preceded by a fan festival and will be followed by a Menudo concert.

Billy Joel at Shea Stadium's Final Concert

The 7 is the Way to Go!

Fans in a New York state of mind will be able to take mass transit to enjoy six-time Grammy winner, Billy Joel, in the last music concert at Shea Stadium before it is torn down at the end of the 2008 season. The concerts are on Wednesday, July 16 and Friday, July 18 and attendance is expected to be higher - possibly up to 63,000 per show - than even a World Series game. The stadium will add over 9,000 seats on the field.

Service Advisory: Major League Baseball All Star Parade Affects MTA NYC Transit & MTA Bus Service

Due to Major League Baseball's All Star Procession tomorrow, Tuesday, July 15th on 6th Avenue between 34th Street and 59th Street, subway and bus service along the route will be affected from 9:30 a.m. until approximately 6:00 p.m. as follows:

Uptown-bound M5, M6, M7 and BxM2 will run on 8th Avenue instead of 6th Avenue, making corresponding street stops on 8th Avenue.

Crosstown QM1, QM1A, QM2, QM2A, QM3, QM4, QM15, QM16, QM17, QM18, QM10, QM12 and QM22 buses will stop at Madison Avenue instead of 6th Avenue.

MTA New York City Transit, Major League Baseball and the Natural Resources Defense Council Team Up to Provide Clean Buses for DHL All-Star FanFest at Javits Center

State-of-the-Art Hybrid-Electric Buses for Fans Using Transit This Weekend

MTA New York City Transit, working with the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) and Major League Baseball (MLB), will provide 100% hybrid-electric bus service to the Javits Center this weekend for DHL All-Star FanFest.

The M42 crosstown bus, which runs from the Javits Center and 42nd Street/12th Avenue to the United Nations (42nd Street/1st Avenue), will provide service with hybrid-electric buses only throughout the weekend. The frequency of service will be every 15 minutes, on average.

Bon Jovi Concert Comes to Central Park

MTA NYC Transit Can Take You There

In connection with the All-Star game at Yankee Stadium, there will be a Bon Jovi concert in Central Park on Saturday, July 12 at 8 p.m. Lucky concertgoers holding tickets for this free event should know that the A and D are the way to go! MTA NYC Transit is adding additional service to these two lines from 6:30 p.m. up to concert time and after the concert from about 10:30 p.m. to midnight.
