Service Advisory Weekend Subway Changes Affecting Service On The 23457ACDEFGJNQR

Because of capital construction work on the NYC Transit subway system, the following changes will be in place over the weekend. MTA NYC Transit's Response to Straphangers' Survey on Subway Car Cleanliness

While keeping a fleet of 6,200 subway cars spotlessly clean is a difficult challenge, we are pleased to note that the Straphangers Campaign has recognized our efforts along the 7 and L, the two lines that have been the focus of a shift in management philosophy that places a high priority on the customer concerns of cleanliness by making certain that cars are cleaned at both terminals.

Riders To Grade NYC Transit Local Bus Service

Local bus customers will soon join their subway and express bus counterparts when they are offered the opportunity to grade the ride they receive on MTA New York City Transit local bus routes. Beginning Monday, March 24, the Local Bus Rider Report Cards will be distributed to customers of Staten Island local bus routes, announced MTA Executive Director & CEO Elliot G. Sander and NYC Transit President Howard H. Roberts, Jr.

Trip Planner Voted "Best of New York" by Center For Digital Government

Trip Planner, MTA NYC Transit's web based travel itinerary service has been chosen by The Center for Digital Government for one of its "Best of New York" Awards, winning the top award for the category 'Project Best Advancing Service to the Public'. The award was presented to New York City Transit at an awards program hosted in Albany today by the Center for Digital Government, a division of e.Republic.

Weekend L Service Disruption March 15-17

MTA NYC Transit announced today that due to necessary track repairs along the Canarsie line there will be no L train service between 8th Avenue and Union Square during the weekend of March 15 -17. Workers will be pouring concrete between 3rd and Bedford Avenues for roadbed replacement. Customers are directed to use M14 bus service as an alternative.

Unlimited MetroCard Grace Period Extended Through June 30th

Last use date varies for cards

Unlimited ride MetroCards purchased prior to the March 2nd fare change will be honored through June 30th 2008, NYC Transit announced today. The decision was made after a careful examination of the number of Unlimited ride cards purchased prior to March 2nd in circulation.

In order to receive the full complement of days they are entitled to, customers must activate 1-Day, 7-day or 30-day Unlimited Ride MetroCards for the first time no later than the following dates:

New Fare Information Prices Change For Unlimited Ride Metrocards on Sunday, March 2nd

Base fare remains $2.00

On Sunday, March 2nd 2008 at 12:01 a.m., prices of Unlimited-ride MetroCards will change, as part of an overall restructuring of fares and tolls across MTA operating agencies in order to generate a 3.85 percent increase in revenue from these sources as part of the 2008 MTA Budget.

The new Unlimited-ride MetroCard fare structure at NYC Transit is as follows:

- 1-Day Fun Pass $7.50

- 7-Day card $25 (Reduced-Fare $12.50)

- 14-Day card NEW $47 (Reduced-Fare $23.50)
