Service Advisory Weekend Subway Changes Affecting Service on the 146ACFGNRW

Because of capital construction work on the NYC Transit subway system, the following changes will be in place over the weekend. This work is part of NYC Transit's ongoing $10 billion Capital Rebuilding Program aimed at upgrading and maintaining our tracks, stations and signal systems in order to continue to provide our customers with safe and reliable service.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, January 6 to 5 a.m. Monday, January 8, shuttle buses replace 1 trains between 96th and 137th Streets due to concrete pour north of 96th Street and a chip out at 110th Street.

MTA NYC Transit 1996 - 2005 A Decade of Accomplishments

Under the leadership of Lawrence G. Reuter, MTA New York City Transit (NYC Transit) played an integral role in New York City's economic resurgence during the 1990's, and in the City's recovery from the World Trade Center attack in 2001.

At the same time, Mr. Reuter led the agency through a series of agency-wide initiatives to improve safety for customers and employees, while expanding efforts to make New York's bus fleet the cleanest in the nation.
