Last use date varies for cards

Unlimited ride MetroCards purchased prior to the March 2nd fare change will be honored through June 30th 2008, NYC Transit announced today. The decision was made after a careful examination of the number of Unlimited ride cards purchased prior to March 2nd in circulation.

In order to receive the full complement of days they are entitled to, customers must activate 1-Day, 7-day or 30-day Unlimited Ride MetroCards for the first time no later than the following dates:

1-Day Fun Pass: June 30th
7-Day card: June 24th
30-Day card: June 1st

For unused or partially used Unlimited Ride MetroCards purchased prior to the March 2nd fare change, refunds will be made on a pro-rated basis. To return a card, customers should ask Station Agents for a postage paid envelope, or drop the card off at the NYC Transit Customer Service Center, located at 3 Stone Street in Lower Manhattan.
