Happy Friday and welcome to the first full weekend of June! With the weather heating up, it really feels like summer, and there are lots of events around the city this weekend including the Governors Ball, the Puerto Rican Day Parade, the 116th Street Festival, and the New York Transit Museum's Parade of Trains, where you can ride vintage subway trains for just the cost of a tap or swipe. We hope you have some fun plans, and remember, no matter where you're going this weekend, public transit can take you there.
train riders, take note: To prevent overcrowding, 116 St will be exit-only from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday during the 116th Street Festival, and 77 St will be exit-only from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday during the Puerto Rican Day Parade.
