A nor'easter is expected to hit our area this weekend, so you may need more than a cozy sweater if you're planning to be out and about. Whatever you do this weekend—whether that's leaf-peeping, apple-picking, or Halloween pre-gaming—we hope you use public transit to get there.
On Monday, Columbus Day, the subway, LIRR, and Metro-North are running on a regular weekday schedule. Buses are running on a reduced weekday schedule.

Major subway service changes
trains, Manhattan
From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 p.m. Sunday:
- During the day and evening,
- trains are running between New Lots Av and 96 St and on the to/from 137 St-City College.
trains aren't running between Harlem-148 St and 96 St in either direction.
- Overnight, trains aren't running at all.
This is because of station maintenance.
- For service to/from Harlem-148 St and 145 St, take free shuttle buses, which connect these stations and 135 St.
- For service between 135 St and 96 St, take the .
trains, Manhattan
From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday:
- trains are running between 168 St and Ozone Park-Lefferts Blvd or Far Rockaway-Mott Av.
trains aren't running between Inwood-207 St and 168 St in either direction.
- trains are running between 145 St and Euclid Av. At 145 St, trains are stopping at the lower level platform.
trains aren't running between 168 St and 145 St in either direction.
This is because of track replacement.

- Downtown and local trains are running express from 59 St-Columbus Circle to Canal St.
This is because of signal modernization.

- For service to/from 42 St-Port Authority Bus Terminal, 34 St-Penn Station, 14 St, Canal St, and World Trade Center (Chambers St), take trains.

trains aren't running between Church Av and Coney Island-Stillwell Av in either direction from 12:15 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday because of accessibility work.
- For service between Church Av and Coney Island-Stillwell Av, take free B90 shuttle buses, which are running between these stations making all stops.
- For direct service between Manhattan or Downtown Brooklyn and Coney Island, take trains.
- For service to/from W 8 St-NY Aquarium, take the .

trains aren't running between Broadway Junction and Canarsie-Rockaway Pkwy in either direction from 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday because of track replacement.
- For service between Broadway Junction and Canarsie-Rockaway Pkwy, take free T426 shuttle buses, which are running between these stations along two routes:
- Local, making all stops.
- Nonstop.
- When exiting the subway at Broadway Junction or Junius St (Livonia Av), get a GO Ticket from a station agent to re-enter.
- trains are running between 8 Av and Broadway Junction, approximately every 8 minutes during the day and evening and 12 minutes overnight.

Trains aren't running between Great Neck and Port Washington from 1 a.m. Saturday to 7 a.m. Sunday because of track maintenance.
- For service between Great Neck and Port Washington, take shuttle buses.
- Buses aren't stopping at Plandome because of low bridges in the area. Use the bus stop at nearby Manhasset instead.

Metro-North Railroad
Waterbury Branch
Trains aren't running between Bridgeport and Waterbury from 6 a.m to 2:30 p.m. Saturday while we clear debris from the tracks near Beacon Falls.
