New York State Department of Motor Vehicles online systems will be unavailable due to an upgrade beginning Friday, February 13 through Tuesday, February 17. If your registration has been suspended for failure to pay tolls and you make a payment to clear your suspension during this outage period, please be advised that your suspension will remain in effect until systems are restored.

The New York State Department of Motor Vehicles will not be able to update registration status during the scheduled outage. Payments made during the scheduled outage will be processed, but registration suspensions cannot be cleared until systems are restored. It may take several days after the outage period for your vehicle registration suspension to be cleared. We recommend checking with the NYS DMV to confirm your registration has been cleared in their systems before driving your vehicle.
You cannot legally drive your vehicle until your registration suspension has been confirmed as cleared by the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles.
