Why we're doing it
We're beginning work to modernize signals on the Fulton and Liberty lines, which carry the and trains between Jay St-MetroTech and Ozone Park-Lefferts Blvd. Some of the signals on these lines were first installed in the 1930s, and replacing them with a modern communications-based train control system will enable better service on the through Brooklyn and Queens.
During this outage, crews are replacing switches and track near 104 St.
