Notice to bidders
New York State Lobbying Law of 2005
Chapter 1 of the Laws of 2005, as amended by Chapter 596 of the Laws of 2005 (collectively referred to as the "Lobbying Law"), makes major changes to the Legislative Law and State Finance Law, which regulate lobbying on government procurements. It creates two new sections in the State Finance Law that restrict contacts, require disclosure of certain contacts, and address the responsibility of bidders and proposers, during the procurement process. These sections are effective as of January 1, 2006.
COMPLIANCE WITH NEW YORK STATE'S STATE FINANCE LAW SECTIONS 139-j AND 139-k, is made part of all solicitation packages in compliance with the Lobbying Law. For additional information, all Bidders/Proposers are urged to access the New York State Office of General Services website or call 518-474-5607.

Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) seeks firm-fixed price bids from prospective Bidders to provide labor, material, and equipment necessary to perform conditional assessments, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repairs and planned component replacements on 109 elevators located on LIRR property. The IFB Package may be obtained via the MTA Portal – under IFB #244168 - Maintenance, Inspections, and Repair Services of Elevators. |

A Pre-Bidders’ Conference and Site Tour will commence on September 28, 2026 at 9:00 AM at Lynbrook Train Station, located at Sunrise Highway and Broadway, Lynbrook, NY 11563. Transportation will not be provided by LIRR; therefore attendees are required to arrange their own method of transportation for the Site Tour, including travel to multiple locations throughout each day. Site tour will take approximately 5 full days; however, Site Tour schedule is subject to change, and may require additional days. Please contact Anthony Iannitelli to make reservations for this conference and tour by 2:00 P.M. September 24, 2026. Safety Attire (boots, protective eyewear, hard hats and vests) is mandatory for all attendees. Attendance at the Bidders’ Conference is not mandatory but strongly recommended. No other such conference is planned. |
