Getting to Madison Square Garden on public transit

About the venue

Madison Square Garden is located on Seventh Avenue between West 31st and 33rd Streets. It's home to the New York Knicks and the New York Rangers. It also hosts special sporting events, as well as concerts.

Madison Square Garden is accessible via subway, Long Island Rail Road, and buses. The Madison Square Garden website has more information about the venue, including driving directions.

Getting there

Option 1: Take the subway.

The     and     trains stop at 34 St-Penn Station, directly below the arena. Follow the signs within each station to Madison Square Garden. Both stations are accessible.

You can also take the          to 34 St-Herald Square, which stops at 34th Street and Sixth Avenue. Exit the station, and then walk one block west to Seventh Avenue and the Garden. This station is accessible.

Option 2: Take the Long Island Rail Road.

All Long Island Rail Road branches connect to Penn Station.

Once you exit the train at Penn Station, follow the signs within the station to Madison Square Garden.

This is an accessible trip.

Option 3: Take the bus. 

The M5, M7, M11, M20, M34-SBS, M34A-SBS, M55, and Q32 stop near Madison Square Garden.
