Dev Webster, better known by his stage name “Maestro Kaiso,” is a multidisciplinary artist from Brooklyn, New York. His Guyanese immigrant parents supported his musical journey, and, at the age of six, enrolled him in piano lessons after he demonstrated a natural aptitude for music and playing by ear. As a violinist in his high school orchestra, he earned a scholarship to take private lessons at the Bloomingdale School of Music in Manhattan. While attending Brooklyn College in 2012, Dev began performing professionally at private events. To expand his opportunities, he began to perform in the subway and eventually auditioned and joined the MTA MUSIC program in 2023. Also, in 2023, Dev was featured in a segment about street performers on The Kelly Clarkson Show, and in 2024, he was the featured artist at Signal Productions’ 11th Annual Jazz and Soul Festival in Guyana.
