The Long Island Rail Road will resume full service to and from Grand Central Madison at 2:41 p.m. following a morning fire in a traction power substation that required removal of power for firefighters to enter tracks. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the LIRR fire marshal. One LIRR power department employee suffered a minor injury.
The first train to depart Grand Central Madison will be #754, the 2:41 p.m. to Hempstead, followed by normal PM peak service. The first westbound train will be train #755 departing Jamaica at 2:34 p.m., arriving Grand Central Madison at 2:53 p.m.
