Cross Honoring of Train Tickets and Parking Passes Ends Monday Night
 

MTA Metro-North Railroad today announced that service operated by New Jersey Transit will resume early Tuesday morning, May 20, on the Pascack Valley and Port Jervis Lines. This follows settlement of the NJ Transit strike announced late Sunday, with NJ Transit trains resuming service early Tuesday. 

“Thanks to the incredible Metro-North workforce for coming through as always during this four-day work stoppage. They got our West of Hudson customers where they needed to be safely, smoothly, and on time,” said Metro-North Railroad President Justin Vonashek. “We are thrilled that NJ Transit and BLET leadership were able to quickly agree to terms on a new contract and get service running again starting on Tuesday.”

The first trains to resume on each line will be:

Pascack Valley Line

Inbound
The 5:10 a.m. train from Spring Valley arriving at Hoboken at 6:21 a.m. with a connection at Secaucus Junction to New York Penn Station, arriving at 6:29 a.m.

OutboundThe 8:56 a.m. train from Hoboken, with a connection at Secaucus for the train that departs New York Penn Station at 8:46 a.m. 

Port Jervis Line

Inbound
The 3:44 a.m. train from Port Jervis arriving at Hoboken at 6:11 a.m., with a connection at Secaucus Junction to New York Penn Station, arriving at 6:19 a.m.

Outbound
The 8:25 a.m. train from Hoboken, with a connection at Secaucus for the train that departs New York Penn Station at 8:14 a.m.

Cross-honoring of weekly and monthly train tickets and of annual parking passes between West of Hudson and East of Hudson Lines will end tonight with the resumption of West of Hudson service.

MTA app – Customers who use the comprehensive MTA smartphone app will see real-time train and bus arrival times and other travel information for all MTA services all in one place. The app is available in the Apple Store and in Google Play.  

TrainTime app – The MTA’s TrainTime app is the essential companion to navigating the commuter rail system. Customers can plan their trip, purchase tickets, check train status, and chat with customer service, all in one app. The app is available in the Apple Store and in Google Play. 

Email & Text Alerts – Customers can sign up for email and SMS alerts tailored to their specific commutes and travel times. They can also sign up for MTA newsletters like The Weekender, a weekly newsletter that covers major weekend planned service changes. Customers can sign up here.  

511 – For those who prefer to contact the MTA by telephone, information is available by dialing 511. Those who are deaf or hard of hearing can use their preferred service provider for the free 711 relay to reach the MTA at 511.
