The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) today announced that the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) is back to moving Long Islanders following a three-day work stoppage. Service resumed at noon in time for the evening rush. And there’s more good news: the LIRR is ready for game one of the Eastern Conference Final tonight when the Knicks host the Cleveland Cavaliers at Madison Square Garden.
