MTA New York City Transit reopened Clark Street    Station in Brooklyn at 7:28 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 5, following a closure caused by the collapse of an awning maintained by the Hotel St. George.

“On behalf of riders, New York City Transit pushed hard for the building’s landlord and the City to rapidly work out a safe way for New Yorkers to access the station below,” said New York City Transit President Demetrius Crichlow. “We appreciate Commissioner Oddo’s efforts to expedite necessary inspections so this busy station could resume service.”

The station closure was ordered by the NYC Department of Buildings Sunday, Aug. 3.
