Eamonn Foley

Acting General Counsel

Eamonn Foley serves as Acting General Counsel, directing and managing the MTA’s legal affairs. In this role, Eamonn leads the MTA Legal Department, with a talented group of attorneys and staff providing a wide range of legal services to the MTA and its subsidiaries and affiliates.

Eamonn started at the MTA in 2014 as Chief of the NYC Transit Authority Legal Department’s Labor and Employment Law Unit, served for several years as Special Counsel in the MTA Legal Department, and most recently was Agency General Counsel for Metro-North Railroad. Prior to joining the MTA, Eamonn worked at the New York City Law Department and in private practice.

Eamonn received his undergraduate degree from Weselyan University and graduated from Fordham University School of Law.
