Mersida Ibric is the Chief People Officer. She is responsible for leading the MTA’s People department, focusing on performance management, workforce planning, talent acquisition, total rewards compensation, learning and development, and organizational design. The People department serves as a strategic partner to MTA leadership, ensuring that the organization’s strategic priorities are met.

Prior to becoming Chief People Officer, Ibric served as the MTA Deputy Chief Administrative Officer and oversaw the people, procurement, information technology, and real estate departments. As a dedicated public servant with over 17 years of experience in the public sector, Ibric held several executive-level positions in New York City government, including the Chief Procurement Officer and Chief Diversity Officer at the NYC Department of Citywide Administrative Services and as Deputy Director at the Mayor’s Office of Contract Services.

Born and raised in the Bronx, Ibric earned a Master of Public Administration from CUNY Baruch College and a B.A. in Political Science from CUNY Queens College.
