Booking and managing an Access-A-Ride trip

You can reserve rides up to two days in advance through MY AAR or by phone.

You can reserve rides one or two days in advance through MY AAR or by phone.

Whether you reserve your trip online or over the phone, remember that:

  • Reservations can be made 1-2 days in advance, 7 days a week, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Same-day trips are not available.
  • It's best to confirm your trip details before finalizing.

If you need to make changes to your trip: 

  • To change a trip, you must cancel your existing trip and rebook with all changes.
  • Trips must be cancelled no later than two hours before your pickup time. 

Book and manage trips with MY AAR

MY AAR lets you book, manage, and track your trips online or on the MTA app. You can:

  • Request, view, or cancel trips.
  • See estimated pickup times and track your vehicle.
  • View trip history and account information.

To log in, use your AAR ID and password. If you’re a first-time user, you’ll need to register before signing in. Learn more about using MY AAR.

Book and manage trips by phone

Call AAR at 877-337-2017, select your language preference, and select option 2. You can book, confirm, or cancel trips by phone are available from 5 a.m. to 1 a.m., seven days a week.

Information to have ready when calling

For both your outgoing and return trip, please be ready to give us:

  • Your AAR ID number
  • Trip date(s)
  • Pickup and drop-off addresses, including cross streets or identifiable landmarks
  • Pickup (depart) or appointment (arrival) time
  • Whether customer will be traveling with a personal care attendant, guest(s), or both 

Subscription service

Subscription service is offered to any AAR customer who travels from the same location to the same destination at the same time of day, at least one day a week.

Subscriptions can be requested up to three days in advance of your first trip. You can change or cancel through MY AAR or by phone at least two hours before your scheduled pickup. Canceling as early as possible helps keep service efficient for all riders.
