About the venue
The 2026 U.S. Open Golf Championship will be held at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton from Monday, June 15 to Sunday, June 21.
Getting there
The LIRR will provide service for fans traveling from both New York City and eastern Long Island.
LIRR customers will arrive at a temporary train platform provided by the USGA and located adjacent to the Stony Brook Southampton campus. Customers will present their tickets for validation and proceed through security screening prior to crossing a pedestrian bridge spanning County Route 39 to reach the championship grounds.
Morning and afternoon trains will be scheduled each day, with service increasing during championship rounds.

Special event tickets
Two types of event tickets are available for bulk purchase.
- Weekly ticket
- $175 for unlimited travel anywhere on LIRR, at any time
- Valid from Monday, June 15 to Monday, June 22, 2026
- Minimum purchase of 5 tickets
- Round trip ticket
- $55 for two trips anywhere on LIRR, at any time during the championship
- Minimum purchase of 15 tickets
