From 12:15 a.m. Saturday, November 8 to 2:15 a.m. Monday, November 10, there will be major service changes on the Port Jefferson and Ronkonkoma branches while we perform signal upgrade work in Hicksville.
Riders east of Mineola on these branches, especially those attending Saturday's hockey game at Madison Square Garden, should use the Babylon or Montauk branches if possible.
Keep reading for more details, and check Schedules or TrainTime to plan your trip.
Port Jefferson Branch
Trains won't run between Mineola and Huntington, and will run in two sections:
- Between Penn Station and Mineola, twice an hour during the day and evening.
- Between Huntington and Port Jefferson, every two hours.

Trains will run every two hours and will be rerouted via the south shore. Between Jamaica and Farmingdale, they will change direction twice but will not make any station stops. Allow up to 50 minutes of extra travel time.
- For service to/from Mineola, take a Port Jefferson Branch train.
- For service to/from Hicksville, take a Port Jefferson Branch train and shuttle bus.
