MTA Weekender: June 19-22, 2026

There are service changes on the subway this weekend. Here’s how that will affect how you get around.

Congratulations to our New York Knicks for clinching the chip in five! Whether you're still basking in the Knicks joy, celebrating Juneteenth at one of the many events at our city's libraries and parks, enjoying the World Cup, or just getting some sun, public transit will get you where you need to go.

Here's how service is changing this weekend (also viewable as a map):

  •   trains aren't running between Van Cortlandt Park-242 St and 168 St-Washington Hts.
  •   trains aren't running between Pelham Bay Park and Parkchester.
  •   trains aren't running between Rockaway Blvd and Ozone Park-Lefferts Blvd.
  • Euclid Av-bound   trains are running on the   and   from 59 St-Columbus Circle to Jay St-MetroTech. 
  •   trains aren't running between Court Sq and Bedford-Nostrand Avs. 
  •   trains aren't running in Manhattan or most of Brooklyn. 
  •   trains are running on the   via Roosevelt Island between Queens and Manhattan.
  •   Franklin Av Shuttle isn't running.
  •   Rockaway Park Shuttle isn’t running during the day and evening.

Major subway service changes

  trains, the Bronx and Manhattan

  trains aren't running between Van Cortlandt Park-242 St and 168 St-Washington Hts from 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. This is because of station work.

  • Free shuttle buses are running along three routes:
    • On Broadway between Van Cortlandt Park-242 St and 215 St, connecting with the   at Inwood-207 St.
    • On St Nicholas Av between 191 St and 168 St-Washington Hts, making all   stops.
    • Overnight only, on Dyckman St between the   and  .
      • During the day and evening, take the M100 instead. 
  • For service to/from 207 St, transfer to/from the Bx12 bus at Inwood-207 St  .
  • For service to/from stations in Washington Heights, use nearby    stations.
  •   trains are running between 168 St-Washington Hts and South Ferry, every 8 minutes during the day and evening.

  trains, the Bronx

From 3:30 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday,   trains aren't running between Pelham Bay Park and Parkchester because of track work. 

  • For service between Pelham Bay Park and Parkchester, take free shuttle buses, which are running between these stations making all   stops.
  •   trains are running between Parkchester and Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall, every 8 minutes during the day and evening.

    trains, Manhattan and Brooklyn

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday:

  • Euclid Av-bound   trains are running on the   from 59 St-Columbus Circle to 34 St-Herald Sq, then via the   to Jay St-MetroTech. 
  • Queens-bound   local trains are running express from 59 St to Canal St. 
  • Downtown   trains are running express from 42 St to Canal St. 

This is because of signal modernization

  • For service to/from 50 St, take the  
  • For service to/from 42 St-Port Authority Bus Terminal, 34 St-Penn Station, 14 St, and Canal St, Chambers St, Fulton St and High St, take the   
  • For service to/from 23 St, take an uptown    train or use nearby    stations.
  • For service to/from Spring St, take an uptown    train or use nearby   stations. 
  • For service to/from Chambers St, Fulton St, and High St, take the  

   trains, Queens

From 12:30 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday:

  •   trains aren't running between Rockaway Blvd and Ozone Park-Lefferts Blvd.
    •   trains to/from Ozone Park-Lefferts Blvd are rerouted to/from Rockaway Park-Beach 116 St.
    • Manhattan-bound   trains aren't stopping at Rockaway Blvd or 88 St.
  •   Rockaway Park Shuttle trains aren't running during the day and evening. 

This is because of track work.

  • For service between 80 St and Ozone Park-Lefferts Blvd, take free shuttle buses, which are running between these stations making all   stops.
  • For service between Broad Channel and Rockaway Park-Beach 116 St, take rerouted   trains.

  trains, Brooklyn and Queens

From 9:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday,   trains aren't running between Court Sq and Bedford-Nostrand Avs because of signal modernization.

  • For service between Court Sq and Bedford-Nostrand Avs, take free T403 shuttle buses, which are running between these stations making all   stops. 
  • When exiting the subway at Court Sq, Lorimer St (Metropolitan Av), or Bedford-Nostrand Avs, get a GO Ticket from a station agent for re-entry.
  •   trains are running between Bedford-Nostrand Avs and Church Av, every 10 minutes during the day and evening.

   trains, Brooklyn and Manhattan

From 11:45 p.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Sunday,   trains aren't running between Crescent St and Broad St because of track work.

  • For service between Crescent St and Myrtle Av, take free T430 shuttle buses, which are running between these stations on two routes:
    • Local, making all   stops.
    • Express, stopping only at Broadway Junction.
  • For service between Myrtle Av and Broad St, take the  , which is replacing the   between these stations.
  • For direct service to Manhattan, take     trains.
  • When exiting the subway at Crescent St or Myrtle Av, get a GO Ticket from a station agent to re-enter.
  •   trains are running between Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer and Crescent St, every 12 minutes during the day and evening.
  •   trains are running between between Metropolitan Av and Delancey St-Essex St and on the   to Broad St.

  trains, Manhattan and Queens

From 9:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday,   trains are running on the   via Roosevelt Island between 36 St and 57 St-7 Av in both directions. This is because of track work.

  • For service to/from Queens Plaza, take the   or use nearby Queensboro Plaza   
  • For service to/from 5 Av-59 St and Lexington Av/59 St, take the   or use nearby 59 St    .
  • All weekend between 9:45 p.m. and midnight,   trains that normally terminate at Queens Plaza will be extended to Forest Hills-71 Av. 

  Franklin Av Shuttle, Brooklyn

Franklin Av Shuttle trains aren't running from 5:45 a.m. Saturday to 8 p.m. Sunday because of preventive maintenance.

  • Free shuttle buses are running between Franklin Av and Prospect Park, making all stops.
    • When exiting the subway at Franklin Av  , Franklin Av-Medgar Evers College    (Botanic Garden), or Prospect Park  , get a GO Ticket from a station agent to re-enter.

Other subway service changes

Several trains are skipping stops in one direction from Friday night to early Monday morning, unless otherwise specified. For service to/from skipped stops, take a train going the opposite direction.

  • Eastchester-bound   trains are not stopping at Morris Park, Gun Hill Rd, and Baychester Av from 5:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. 
    • All trains are stopping at the Manhattan-bound platform at Pelham Pkwy. 
  • Overnight in Queens, Manhattan-bound   local trains are running nonstop from Jackson Hts-Roosevelt Av to Queens Plaza. 
    • Take   trains instead. 
  • Manhattan-bound   trains aren't stopping at Sutphin Blvd. Manhattan-bound   and   trains aren't stopping at Briarwood and 75 Av.
  • Manhattan-bound   and    local trains are running express from 36 St to Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr.
