Happy Labor Day weekend! It may be the unofficial last weekend of summer, but there's still time for more summer fun this weekend, whether that's the West Indian American Day Carnival, the US Open, or just a day at the beach. Note that for the Carnival, trains are skipping Eastern Parkway-Brooklyn Museum all day on Monday.
There are some service changes across our network because Monday is a holiday:
- Subways and buses are running on a Sunday schedule on Monday.
- The Long Island Rail Road is running on a weekend schedule on Monday.
- The Montauk Branch is running on a Saturday schedule on Sunday, and a Sunday schedule on Monday.
- On Metro-North Railroad:
- The Hudson, Harlem, and New Haven lines are running on a Sunday schedule on Monday.
- The Port Jervis and Pascack Valley lines are running on a weekend schedule on Monday.
Here's what else is happening this weekend (also viewable as a map):
- trains aren't running between 168 St-Washington Hts and 137 St-City College.
- trains aren't running between 149 St-Hostos and 125 St, and are running in two sections.
- trains aren't running between E 180 St and Bowling Green.
- trains aren't running between Rockaway Blvd and Ozone Park-Lefferts Blvd.
- trains aren't running between Crescent St and Broadway Junction and are running in two sections.
- Rockaway Park Shuttle isn’t running during the day and evening.

Major subway service changes
trains, Manhattan
From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Tuesday, trains aren't running between 168 St-Washington Hts and 137 St-City College in either direction, and are running in two sections:
- Between Van Cortlandt Park-242 St and 168 St-Washington Hts, every 12 minutes during the day and evening.
- Between 137 St-City College and South Ferry, every 8 minutes during the day and evening.
This is because of structural maintenance.
- Free T204 shuttle buses are running between 168 St-Washington Hts and 137 St-City College, making all stops.
- When exiting the subway at 168 St or 137 St-City College, get a GO Ticket from a station agent to re-enter.
trains, the Bronx and Manhattan
From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Tuesday:
- trains aren't running between 149 St-Hostos and 125 St, and are running in two sections:
- Between Woodlawn and 149 St-Hostos, every 12 minutes during the day and evening.
- Between Crown Hts-Utica Av or New Lots Av and 125 St, local in Manhattan, and on the to/from 3 Av-138 St.
- trains aren't running between E 180 St and Bowling Green.
- trains are running between Eastchester-Dyre Av and E 180 St, every 12 minutes during the day and evening.
- trains are running every 8 minutes during the day and evening.
This is because of station work.
- For service between E 180 St and 149 St-Grand Concourse, take the .
- For service between 149 St-Grand Concourse and 125 St, take free shuttle buses, which are running between 149 St-Grand Concourse and 3 Av-138 St , stopping at 138 St-Grand Concourse.
- For service between 125 St and Bowling Green, take the .
- Consider taking the or for service between the Bronx and Manhattan.
- Metro-North is accommodating subway riders at no additional cost for travel between the Bronx and Manhattan at all stations between University Heights or Wakefield and Grand Central.
trains, Queens
From 12:30 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Monday:
- trains aren't running between Rockaway Blvd and Ozone Park-Lefferts Blvd.
- trains to/from Ozone Park-Lefferts Blvd are rerouted to/from Rockaway Park-Beach 116 St.
- Manhattan-bound trains aren't stopping at Rockaway Blvd or 88 St.
- Rockaway Park Shuttle trains aren't running during the day and evening.
This is because of track replacement.
- For service between 80 St and Ozone Park-Lefferts Blvd, take free shuttle buses, which are running between these stations making all stops.
- For service between Broad Channel and Rockaway Park-Beach 116 St, take rerouted trains.
trains, Brooklyn
From 3:45 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday, trains aren't running between Crescent St and Broadway Junction and are running in two sections:
- Between Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer and Crescent St, every 12 minutes during the day and evening.
- Between Broadway Junction and Broad St, every 12 minutes during the day and evening.
This is because of track replacement.
- Free T434 shuttle buses are running between Crescent St and Broadway Junction, making all stops.
Other subway service changes
Several trains are skipping stops in one direction from Friday night to early Tuesday morning, unless otherwise specified. For service to/from skipped stops, take a train going the opposite direction.
- Brooklyn-bound and Queens-bound local trains are running express from 125 St to 59 St-Columbus Circle.
- Coney Island-bound trains are running express from Smith-9th Sts to Kings Hwy.
- Church Av-bound trains aren't stopping at 4 Av-9 St, 15 St-Prospect Park, and Fort Hamilton Pkwy.
