Welcome to the second weekend of September, readers. If you ride LIRR in the city, heads up: trains aren't running between Atlantic Terminal and Jamaica all weekend. LIRR riders can enter the subway at no cost at several stations in Manhattan and Brooklyn for alternate service—check the Planned Work lookup tool for a full list of stations.
Here's what else is happening this weekend (also viewable as a map):
- trains aren't running between Hunts Point Av and 125 St.
- trains aren't running in Manhattan or most of Brooklyn.
- trains aren't running between Court Sq and Bedford-Nostrand Avs.
- and local trains are running on the from Canal St to DeKalb Av.
- Late-night trains aren't running between Whitehall St and Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr.

Major subway service changes
trains, the Bronx
From 9:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, trains aren't running between Hunts Point Av and 125 St because of track replacement.
- trains are running in two sections:
- Between Pelham Bay Park and Hunts Point Av, every 12 minutes during the day and evening.
- Between Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall and 125 St and on the to/from 149 St-Hostos, every 8 minutes during the day and evening. Uptown trains aren't stopping at 138 St-Grand Concourse.
- For service between Hunts Point Av and 125 St, take free shuttle buses, which are running between these stations along two routes:
- Local, making all stops.
- Nonstop.
- When exiting the subway at Hunts Point Av or 125 St, get a GO Ticket from a station agent to re-enter.
trains, Brooklyn and Queens
From 9:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, trains aren't running between Court Sq and Bedford-Nostrand Avs because of signal modernization.
- For service between Court Sq and Bedford-Nostrand Avs, take free T403 shuttle buses, which are running between these stations making all stops.
- When exiting the subway at Court Sq, Lorimer St (Metropolitan Av), or Bedford-Nostrand Avs, get a GO Ticket from a station agent for re-entry.
- trains are running between Bedford-Nostrand Avs and Church Av, every 10 minutes during the day and evening.
trains, Brooklyn and Manhattan
From 11:45 p.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday, trains aren't running between Crescent St and Broad St because of track work.
- For service between Crescent St and Myrtle Av, take free T430 shuttle buses, which are running between these stations on two routes:
- Local, making all stops.
- Express, stopping only at Broadway Junction.
- For service between Myrtle Av and Broad St, take the , which is replacing the between these stations.
- For direct service to Manhattan, take trains.
- When exiting the subway at Crescent St, Myrtle Av, or Broadway Junction, get a GO Ticket from a station agent to re-enter.
- trains are running between Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer and Crescent St, every 12 minutes during the day and evening.
- trains are running between between Metropolitan Av and Delancey St-Essex St, and on the to Broad St.
trains, Brooklyn and Manhattan
From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday:
- and local trains are running on the between Canal St and DeKalb Av.
- At Canal St, and local trains are stopping at the platform.
- During late nights, trains aren't running between Whitehall St and Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr.
- Late-night trains are running between Atlantic Av-Barclays Center and Bay Ridge-95 St, nonstop between Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr and 36 Av.
This is because of track maintenance.
- For service between City Hall and Whitehall St, use nearby stations.
- trains aren't running in Lower Manhattan this weekend; take the train from stations instead.
- For service to/from Court St and Jay St-Metro-Tech, use nearby Borough Hall .
- During late nights:
- For service between Whitehall St and Jay St-MetroTech, use nearby stations.
- For service to/from DeKalb Av, take trains.
- For service between Union St and 25 St, take trains.
Other subway service changes
Several trains are skipping stops in one direction from Friday night to early Monday morning, unless otherwise specified. For service to/from skipped stops, take a train going the opposite direction.
- From early Saturday morning to late Sunday evening, downtown trains are running nonstop from 137 St-City College to 96 St.
- Downtown and local trains are running express from 125 St to 59 St-Columbus Circle.
- Uptown and trains are running local between these stations all weekend.
- Coney Island-bound trains and Church Av-bound trains aren't stopping at 4 Av-9 St, 15 St-Prospect Park, and Fort Hamilton Pkwy.
- From early Saturday morning to late Sunday evening, Manhattan-bound trains aren't stopping at Avenue P, Avenue N, Bay Pkwy and Avenue I.
- All trains are stopping at the Coney Island-bound platform at 18 Av.
- From early Saturday morning to late Sunday evening, southbound trains are bypassing stops in parts of Queens and Brooklyn:
- In Queens, they are running nonstop from Astoria Blvd to Queensboro Plaza.
- In Brooklyn, they are running nonstop from 59 St to Kings Hwy.

City Terminal Branch
From 11 p.m. on Friday to 2:30 a.m. on Monday, LIRR service isn't running between Atlantic Terminal and Jamaica for track maintenance. Take the subway instead. LIRR riders can enter the subway at no cost at several stations in Manhattan and Brooklyn for alternate service—check City Terminal service alerts for a full list of stations.
