There are service changes on the New York City subway this weekend. Here's how that will affect how you get around.
Updated September 25, 2026 1:00 p.m.

Happy Friday, and welcome to the first official weekend of fall. As you've no doubt heard, a nor'easter is expected in our region over the weekend, with strong winds and coastal flooding possible in the five boroughs and beyond.

We always say that planned work on the weekends is subject to change, and that's especially true during a major weather event. A few things to keep in mind:

And if you are out and about this weekend, please use caution, especially if surfaces are wet and slippery or conditions change quickly. We want you to stay safe!

For more details, keep on scrolling. We've also got travel alternatives for stations that will be closed or skipped.
