New Metro-North schedules start October 5, 2025

Our super-express trains on the Hudson Line will now be faster, and we're also running extra seasonal weekend service on the Hudson and New Haven lines.

New schedules will go into effect on the Hudson, Harlem, and and New Haven lines on October 5, 2025.

Major changes are outlined below. There are numerous minor changes to allow for track and infrastructure maintenance projects on all lines. All riders should check the new schedules or use our TrainTime app to see if these minor changes impact their trip.

Hudson Line

Faster super-express trains

Our super-express trains between Grand Central and Poughkeepsie will now be up to seven minutes faster, with five making the trip in under 90 minutes.

Extra seasonal weekend service

Between October 4 and November 9, five additional Leaf Peeper trains will run between Grand Central, Beacon and Poughkeepsie on Saturdays and Sundays. Check schedules or TrainTime for more details. 

Harlem Line

We've added an additional morning peak train to Grand Central, and an additional train leaving Grand Central in the late evening.

  • The 7:53 a.m. train from North White Plains to Grand Central will be replaced by two separate trains Monday to Thursday.
    • One train will leave North White Plains at 7:57 a.m., stopping at White Plains and Grand Central only.
    • The other train will leave Hartsdale at 8:01 a.m., stopping at Scarsdale and Grand Central only.
    • These two trains will remain combined on Fridays.
  • The 7:57 a.m. train from Crestwood to Grand Central will now run Monday through Friday.
  • A new weekday evening train to Southeast departs Grand Central at 10:19 p.m., stopping at Harlem-125 St and White Plains, then making all stops to Southeast except Mt Pleasant.

New Haven Line

Between November 29 and January 4, we're running Shoppers Specials on the New Haven Line. There will be eight additional trains on Saturdays between Grand Central and New Haven, and four on Sundays.
