MTA/New York City Transit memorabilia and collectibles

Updated Sep 24, 2026

About memorabilia and collectibles sales

In addition to the MTA’s Surplus Sales offerings, New York City Transit offers items for purchase, for those who are interested in acquiring a little bit of our history.

When available, station signs and fixtures, vintage tokens, and other “collectibles” such as grabholds, doors, seating, and destination signs from retired subway cars, including NYCT's historic Redbirds and Brightliners, for sale when available.

If you would like to be added to our mailing list to be notified when materials are available, please email us your name, address, and type of material you are interested in to asset.recovery@nyct.com.

2026 Pop-Up Shop

We're excited to once again hold a Memorabilia and Collectibles Pop-Up Shop on October 8 and 9. You can purchase perfectly imperfect items—subway signs, grabholds, retired fleet memorabilia, and more—in person, without processing fees.

Other memorabilia and collectibles

Online sales are currently unavailable, but several collectible items are for sale. Check out what's on offer, and email asset.recovery@nyct.com to express interest.
